of its marvellous beach. At the entrance of the port of Naoussa lie the ruins of
the famous citadel, built in the 15th century. Places worth visiting in Naoussa
are the Byzantine Church (12th - 13th century) on the site of Protoria, or the
Monastery of Agios Andreas (1648), Agios Ioannis Theologos (16th century) or
Agios Georgios. Also worth mentioning is Kolibithres among the beaches near
Naoussa. These huge rocks eroded into strange shapes reminds one of sculptures
embedded in the sand.
